Figs are a delightful fruit of the gods. If you've ever been lucky enough to enjoy a perfectly sweet, ripe fig fresh off the tree, warmed from the sun, and oozing with sticky juice, you know precisely what we're talking about so we have preserved the magic in a jar.
These Moraceae Ficus Carica Green Ischia figs are freshly picked from the Krause Ranch right here in Spring Branch Texas and are generally available in late July through August You can expect a delightful rich, dark strawberry-colored interior with a sweet and slightly jammy taste combined with a hint of earthiness from the skins and we used Mrs. Peggy's recipe to spice things up and have two types of fig jams. Let us now your favorite! This is a definitely a party in a jar making it an excellent addition to any charcuterie board or cheese plate given its affinity for cheese, you'll definitely want to try some on your next grilled cheese sandwich.
