This homemade sauerkraut is my Grandma & Great Grandmother's recipe. This is a fermented cabbage made by massaging salt into cabbage, which releases its juices. Then packed tightly in containers and left to ferment for several weeks. During this process it creates natural sugars into lactic acid, giving sauerkraut its tangy crunchy flavor.
